ADCA Air Quality Ruling

ADCA Air Quality Ruling
During the 2019/20 season, the region experienced horrendous bushfires which resulted in very poor, hazardous air quality. The Association has been encouraged to “ensure we are monitoring air quality regularly, and making decisions surrounding our sport and clubs in the best interests of our volunteers, members and players health and wellbeing.” As a result ADCA Committee passed the following motion:

“If the Air Quality Index exceeds 150aqi (very poor), using the Airvisual app, matches must be abandoned.”

Hazardous is in excess of 200aqi. As one stage in 2019, the air quality in Armidale was 445!
