Armidale fields teams in the Northern Inland competition.

This competition includes teams from Tamworth, Moree, Narrabri, Gunnedah and Inverell.

Congratulations to Armidale’s U14s representative team on winning the Northern Inland competition in 2014/15.

In March 2016 record numbers attended trials for next season’s teams. From those trials respective age group squads have been selected.  Details for U12s, U14s, U16s and the U13s Development Squad can be found on their respective pages.

Players will be asked to attend training days over the winter months and the teams to represent Armidale will be selected from these squads in the under 14s and under 16s. The under 12s team of 12 players has been selected with two reserve players. We ask that the two reserves attend training.

Representative Carnivals

In addition to the Northern Inland competition, players will have the opportunity to attend junior carnivals in January.

Armidale’s under 12s travel to Lismore, an under 13s team will travel to Ballina and Armidale will host the Walter Taylor Shield U15s Carnival. These carnivals are usually all held over the same week, in early January.

The carnivals provide players with the opportunity to play against teams from Sydney, wider NSW and Queensland. Players wishing to further their cricketing skills are strongly urged to attend these carnivals if given the opportunity.

The Walter Taylor Shield team (under 15s) to play in Armidale in January 2017 will be selected from those players who are eligible in the under 16s, and from the under 14s team.

The under 13s team to play in the Ballina Carnival will be selected from those in the under 14s who are eligible, and from the under 13s development squad.

The Under 12s team to travel to Lismore will be selected from the under 12s squad.

We plan to arrange fixtures for the under 13s development squad during term 4.

Congratulations to players selected to representative squads for this season. You have been handed a tremendous opportunity to play cricket at a higher level with other players who love the game, and against some of the best players in the region.

It is important that you take full advantage of this opportunity by attending all training sessions and making yourself available for all representative matches.

Higher Representative

Players may be invited to trial for higher representative selection. Further information can be found under the Higher Representative or Cricket NSW Academy tabs on this website.
