Cricket NSW Academy
Cricket NSW selects players to attend its Zone Academies during the off-season. Male and Female Academy programs are run across the state, in both city and regional areas.
The Academy program focuses on developing the skills of young players from around NSW and aims to provide the same opportunities to players living in regional areas as those living in Sydney metropolitan areas. Players will have access to the highest calibre coaches, sports science staff and facilities, as well as mentoring from elite players.
Players in our region may be invited to attend Cricket NSW’s Central Northern zone academy.
The Academy Male Program will run in the U/13 – U/19 age groups with the Female Programs for players from U/13 – U/18s.

Armidale and district players may also be invited to trial for Northern Inland’s Academy – this is run by Northern Inland Cricket Council’s regional coaches.
The regional coach responsible for the development of players in our area is Terry Browne.
To be selected for Northern Inland’s Academy, players must first be nominated through their local district association. Players are then invited by the regional coach to participate in the Academy.
